West Wing - The Last Hurrah (4/30)

Im taking a break from homework to watch West Wing.

7:00
Here we go :) Just three episdoes left, including tonight :( And the first thing we see is Arnie Vinnick...now there's a sight *rolls eyes*. Yay! President-elect :) Meeting the Joint Chiefs? Who's Vinnick calling? There's Vinnick :) Im sad that we're not going to see Josh or Donna tonight. Sounds like someone doesnt want to leave Washington...
7:08
Ick! Amy! ICK! There's the Santos family :) Ron Butterfield! *grins* Cute kids. EVIL AMY! I like Helen Santos :) GO HELEN! Vinnick doesn't seem to know what to do. Looks kinda lost actually. LOU! :) Yuck on Baker. Interesting job offers for Vinnick. Interesting plans there...WHOA! Helen doesnt like that security much...cant say that I would either. Helen looks lost :( Vinnick run again for President? Uhh...okay. They think Vinnick's crazy, and I gotta tell you I agree with them.
7:21
I know who is about to be nominated as Secretary of State, but then again I've read some of the spoilers. YAY! Talking to CJ :) It'd be nice if we could see some Danny too. Go away Amy and never come back. LOL Finding a school through the Secretary of Education. Interesting. Interesting comment by Amy, but I wish it hadn't been made by Amy. Hehe, but he's not going to do what he thinks. Helen looks completely overwhelmed. I can't say I blame her. Nice comment by CJ. Vinnick doesnt look impressed there. Vinnick is funny :-P Vinnick right there cracks me up. You know, as the season went on, I liked Vinnick more and more.
7:33
Sounds like they're experiencing sticker shock on the schools. Eep, looks like Helen's less than thrilled at the moment. Hehe, calling his own phone. Vinnick, busy? You're kidding, right? LOL standing in line for coffee after running for President. And then they get his name wrong. Looks like Helen isnt the only one having a rough time dealing with all the changes in their lives. LOL She's in the oval office now and she's in SHOCK. :) LOL $200,000 for redecorating? Im laughing at Helen's reactions to all of this. Vinnick isnt sure what to make of this meeting. LOL That's about what Matt said. I didnt know this conversation was coming. Nice to see Vinnick figured it out :) Offering him Secretary of State. :) I loved the way Santos pitched that.
7:48
I like the way Santos said that to Amy and company. Come on Vinnick, take the Secretary of State job. Come on Sheila and what's-his-name, convince him to take the Sec. of State job. I love Matt and Helen together. Yay :) Vinnick doesnt seem to believe that Santos really wants to offer the Secretary of State position. This is too funny. Vinnick simply cant believe it. YAY! Vinnick as Sec. of State.

I hate being sick

I've spent a good portion of the last week sick, and that really sucks. Every few winters I somehow manage to get all of the nasty bugs, and this has been one of those winters unfortunately. Though I must say I am feeling better today. At the moment, Im just coughing and my throat hurts, which is better than the sneezing and congestion and runny nose I had the last few days. Though, this morning I was really congested.

I can't believe the semester's about over already. Or that my 21st birthday is this summer. Or that I will be a senior in college (I won't graduate next Spring though, it's going to take me another semester). It's also hard to believe I've been out of high school for almost three years now--that's a long time!

I have to spend this weekend writing a paper for my presidency class. We have a 10 page paper due on Tuesday, May 2nd. Then I have a test in another class on the 4th. Then, on the 5th, I get the final exam for my history class and it's due on the 10th by noon. Then, my last final is on the 12th. Busy, busy, busy!

West Wing - Transition (4/23)

7:00
Here we go :) Gonna see Sam tonight! LOL Josh with all of his files spread out in a teeny, tiny space. I happen to know where he was flying to. Ronna :) LOL everyone's gonna have problems with the new title. LOL this conversation with Josh and the cabbie is interesting. Here we go :-P This should be an interesting conversation between Santos and the Russian president. Here comes Sam! Interesting face there Sam! :-P Kinda like when seeing Josh in the beginning :-P "I thought you'd never call." Bored there Sam? :-P
7:07
I saw this conversation online on www.nbc.com. And there's the bomb :-P Sam, deputy chief of staff :-P. LOL Josh, channeling his mother. I love the interplay between Josh and Sam. I've missed it. Josh on the phone...wonder who he's talking to. Stupid cabbie..shut up. LOL :) I like the kid Josh is talking to now. Donna talking with Helen. LOL Helen telling Donna not to do the ma'am thing. I love Josh and Donna. Josh, Donna talk? Looks like he had to force those words out. Can we say awkward highway here? SANTOS :) First time in the sit. room. Hmm, where's he going to sit? He looks like he has no idea what's going on. Quick briefing there. *rolls eyes* tapping the president's phone? Not usually a bright idea. Hey! A good look at Josh's apartment. What a mess! I bet that's Donna at the door. Or Sam. And we have Donna there. LOL He's getting some action tonight. I love that the two of them got their act together.
7:19
Josh in a wifebeater? Donna putting earrings back on? Hmm...and Donna leaving already. Okay, maybe he did get some after all. Donna's "ultimatum." Josh has that glazed over look on his face. I dont blame her for telling Josh "four weeks." I love Helen and Matt together. Josh likes scaring people I think. I like Santos, and how he likes to think outside of the box. Here's a nice version of CJ :) I missed nice CJ. Heh, goes without saying...except to say that I know what happens. Asking Donna for Josh advice. LOL this is an interesting conversation. I knew that was coming. That's what happens when you read summaries ahead of time.
7:33
Umm..what is Josh going on about. Wonder what he's drinking. Shouldn't take long? That's what you think. Ma'am...best get used to it. Hehe :) AHHH! Donna as the First Lady's Chief of Staff :) ooooo Don't turn it away Donna. Please...it's a fantastic opportunity. Bye bye nice CJ. OOOO SAM again! LOL Sam engaged :) Come on, take the job. Josh is pushing hard for Sam to come to Washington :) There goes Josh...wonder what this conversation will be like. Santos needs to start trusting Josh. Really, Santos needs to start trusting Josh if Josh is going to be his CoS. I like Lou as Communications Director. Yep, Josh is headed towards a meltdown, and Santos isnt helping matters any.
7:46
SAM! Giving Sam a bunch of papers :) Josh, take a vacation? I love Sam. Again, Josh, take a vacation? You've gotta be crazy:-P Nice way to say that Josh. Sam looks like Josh threw him in the deep end...then again he did. Donna, eepp, deputy press secretary. JOSH! Dont screw this up. Please dont screw this up Josh. She's the best thing that ever happened to you. He's about to have a nutty. Josh, take a break. JOSH! EEEPPP!!!!!!! Here comes Sam. Please, Sam, get him to take a breather, please? Reminds me of the nutty on election night. Nice to see Sam telling Josh off. Come on Josh, take the vacation. Take Donna to Hawaii and figure out whats going on between you. PLEASE! Conversation between the President and President-Elect. LOL Interesting play here. Josh is going to take a vacation :) Yippee! Josh is funny :-P Josh is so funny. I love Sam :) I cant say that enough. Please tell me Donna's going with him. I so want her to go with him. EPP! He's not going to screw it up! Nice touch there, having the blackberry fall off the desk :)

I just wanna kick something

I dont have a singing voice to speak of at the moment (no pun intended), and I have a choir concert tonight. I spent the last day and a half with a nasty sore throat, a cold, and no voice at all. Well this morning my voice started to come back, and I just tested my singing voice, and it's almost nonexistent. :( GRRRRRR!

West Wing - Requiem (4/16)

Here we go...and I'm totally going to cry.

7:00
And Bartlet's putting on his tie...CJ's getting ready too. There's Josh. Doesn't look as depressed as I imagined...and tere's Toby, and now Donna. Donna definitely looks sad. There's Abbey. And here we go, already tears in my eyes. Josh sitting behind Jed....interesting. Mallory..and then three Bartlett sisters. Interesting that Josh and CJ are sitting near each other. Amy, Danny. Josh and Donna not really sitting together. Ainsley's there. Impressive guest list. Church is packed, no surprise. There's Mallory again. As my dad just said...AINT NO WAY. No way Jed is a pallbearer, Leo or not. Charlie, Jed, Matt, Josh, and two I didnt recognize as pallbearers. Okay, so I just got teary eyed, but didnt cry.

7:08
Leaving the funeral....talking with Matt. Interesting conversation regarding the House. I forgot that the Democrats won back the House. Hmm... Charlie talking to Toby. Toby's not going to Arlington..........nice to know that's where Leo will be buried. Abbey sounds close to tears. So does Jed for that matter. Yeah, Leo would have been mortified. Santos should best get used to people clapping when he enters a room...it's gonna happen a lot. Well, Josh made his point there about messages. Hehe...Josh in political mode. Nice to know Josh is going to be CoS. Josh doesn't look entirely comfortable. CJ looks good...and there's Danny. I've always loved Danny. I definitely love Danny. CJ and Danny talk? *grins* They've always been an interesting pair. The two of them make me chuckle. Interesting meeting here...Okay, so I've still managed not to cry.

7:20
Charlie has a real office. Interesting conversation between Charlie and Donna. Charlie can't believe it...Okay, celebration for Leo's funeral...hmm...I like Santos. What a jackass guy. Nice, solid front from Santos and Josh. Yuck, we're seeing Russell. I've never been a Russell fan. Donna and CJ :) AHHH hehe...Donna crashing at CJ's place. There's Jed...staring off into space. *Shakes head* I love Abbey. Leo would be furious. Jed certainly seems more jolly than expected. Wonderful stories about Leo. Interesting look on Abbey's face though. Still haven't cried.

7:33
Hehe, I love Danny. CJ cracks me up. I bet Donna is behind CJ....:-P Matt doesnt know what he got himself into. Uh oh...AMY. Go Away. Liar Liar Josh...AINSLEY! I miss Ainsley. I hate Baker... Oooo..wasnt exactly the thing to tell Josh. I want Josh and Donna together. The two of them need to get their heads out of their butts. *Rolls eyes* CJ and Donna are quite a pair. Josh and Donna are also quite a pair. I wonder what Matt's doing...Russell is a no deal. I understand where Josh is coming from. Nice way to put that Josh...he's not a "yes" man, never has been. Still havent cried....

7:44
Go away Amy. Go far, far away. Amy fixing Josh up? *raises eyebrows* Amy turns around when Donna gets there. And there comes Matt....in the middle of the pissing match :-P Matt's got a point. Baker's not the right choice, but *grrr* Amy's always been an idiot. OOO I like Matt, but did you have to offer a job? CJ and Josh talking. Ainsley as White House counsel. Josh get rid of the Republican "thing." More stories about Leo :) I love this scene in the Residence. I love these stories about Leo. LOL. I love Annabeth. I dont like Fields, but I imagine he doesnt like Santos so much. Nice story about the fish and the gun. Man, I miss Leo. Wonderful words by Jed right here. Very poignant scene with Josh looking back at the White House.

The West Wing Writers copped-out

So I just read some spoilers for the rest of the series, and I found out who Santos is picking as his VP, and I gotta tell you, he's one of the last people on earth I'd pick. No way would I pick Baker as VP. Not in a million years.

On another note, tonight's ep is so going to make me cry. But I have a feeling that it will still end up one of my favorites.

West Wing - Election Day pt. 2 (4/9)

Okay, so Im finally getting ready to watch West Wing.

8:45
Here we go! I've got the kleenex. I really dont like Bruno...but that's no secret. Josh looks about two seconds away from another nutty. *grins* Come on Santos! LOL a packet of changes. OOOO Here's where Donna's gonna tell him. She looks about ready to cry and so am I. Utter shock on Josh's face, like Donna had just crushed his entire world. And DANG IT! I've got tears in my eyes, like I will for most of the episode!
8:53
Oh, CJ knows. Im trying my darndest not to cry already. She's gonna tell him. She cant find a way to tell him. I can't say I blame him. I like Santos. I like her, as interesting as she is. Of course he would...except Leo's never going to wake up. Im trying so hard not to cry in the parts not about Leo. EEP Not for Vinnick..even though I know already that Santos wins. I expected Josh to be a little more of a wreck. A little more freaking out. She's gonna tell him and Im going to cry. His world just fell apart. She's going to tell him. Im gonna have to o back and watch this part, my dad just came in and interrupted me, and too many people are making noise down here. I'm trying so hard not to cry, and its not working so well. So he died of a heart attack on the show. Everyone on the show is trying not to cry.
9:04
Nice of the congressman to say that josh needs to be wherever he needs to be. "A broken josh" is the first thing that came to mind. Even in the midst of tragedy, Josh is still thinking like a politician. He just looks so broken. I dont like that new campaign lady for the Republicans. I actually kinda like Bruno in this situation. I like Santos :) Looks like Matt and Helen are a little broken up about Leo. Wonderful speech by Matt.
9:16
The three of them look so sad. Josh looks like he's on autopilot. I like Jed right now. I expected him to be a little more shaken. Learning more about Leo. And Im crying again. I love Lou. EEPPP Things dont look good for Santos. I do know though that things go well for Santos in the end. It's gonna come down to CA and TX. YES! Texas for Santos! :) AWWW. Matt and Helen are so cute. Donna's looking for Josh...his room maybe? The roof again? Leo's room? Leo's room. And he's been crying. And Josh's guilt comes into play. And Josh is leaning on Donna. Nice :) Vinnick telling everyone to shut up. Come on, call California for Santos. Oh no! Calling it for Vinnick....It's gonna come down to Oregon and Nevada.
9:29
Come on :) I want Santos to win. Okay, now I just wanna know who wins (even though technically I already know). You know, I didnt like Lou when she first came around, but I like her now. I dont like the guy talking to Bruno now. Interesting how much we're learning about characters tonight. Okay, they won Oregon :) Come on already, call Nevada for Santos already. I used to like Patricia Richardson...:-P Matt looking at Josh. I love Josh, always have and always will. Yet another baseball reference from Josh. Here we go. SANTOS!!! They won! Josh looks like he cant believe it. And then he hugs Donna for the longest time. Come on Vinnick, concede the election already. Ah, there we go :) Yippee!! Matt and Helen :) Santos is a class act :) Josh, you should really be down in the ballroom. Just had to color Nevada, didnt you? :-P There's Donna. They see each other across the room...and now Josh is looking a pic of Leo. "Thanks Boss" How many times did Josh say those words over his time in the White House?

I am so going to cry next week.

Tonight's Cub Game

Im ready for it to start already. The sooner it starts, the sooner the kid leaves the game, and the sooner I can watch tonight's ep of West Wing. Dont get me wrong, I really want to watch the game...it's just that everything seems to be happening in tonight's episode. LOL I'm going to have to keep from checking my email until after I watch the ep. There will be so many commentaries and fics after tonight's ep. Just knowing about the two things that happen (the election and Leo) leaves a LOT of room for post-eps, and just seeing the ep will leave more for people to write about (and for me to read about *grins*) It's nice that we have tivo, because I can tivo West Wing (which we were already doing for someone in my dad's office), and watch the Cub game. Under normal circumstances (i.e. were this any other West Wing ep) I'd watch all of the Cub game tonight and be fine with watching the WW ep tomorrow. However, this isnt any old WW ep, so Im going to watch it as soon as Marshall's out of the game. I can always keep tabs on the game from that point from my computer. I just have to hope that Marshall doesnt go anymore than 2 and a half hours. I dont think he will, but *shrugs* Anymore than that, and I'll have problems getting up in the morning for class and then work. It's a good thing I wont be watching tonight's ep with my dad...goodness knows Im going to need a box and a half of kleenex tonight. Okay! Im off to find a tv to watch the Cubs game :) I'll be back later with my commentary from the episode. Like I said earlier in the week, I'll still be doing the times thing, I'll just post the time I started watching first :)

Regarding the West Wing ep on 4/9

My cubbies play while West Wing is on, so I'll be watching my cubbies. Don't freak though, because we tivo West Wing for someone in my dad's office. That means, however, that my commentary will be later on in the evening, and the times will be off. I'll be sure to note the time I start watching it so that someone reading it could figure out at which point in the ep Im talking about.

The Cubs game has me interested because there's a rookie pitcher for the Cubs making his major league debut, against the Cardinals no less. I'll probably only watch until the kid comes out of the game, and then I'll come down and watch the ep. I have decided, however, that if the kid comes out of the game before the ep is over, I'll wait until the ep is over, and then come downstairs. I want to watch the episode all at once, from start to finish, rather than coming down in the middle.

West Wing - Election Day pt. 1 (4/2)

7:01
Here we go! I like thus far...Lou has really grown on me. Hm....a friend of mine just says she thinks Josh and Donna - drunken sex. I agree. I like Lou. Ooo Dropping like flies...leaving Josh and Donna alone. I like the way Donna looks now, rather than at the beginning of the season. AWWWW! I wanted them to go up to Josh's room :-P Well, I know they will eventually because of last week's previews. Alright, so far so good.
7:08
LOL In bed with Donna. 3 AM, and Josh is having some issues...Silly man. Correction, stupid man. He's actually gonna let her leave...or not. Dont let her leave.. You finally get your act together, and you're going to let her leave? I am so going to watch the episode again. Idiot Donna. Come on Josh and Donna. I want them together NOW. OOOOO...not what Donna was expecting when going back to Josh's room. I hate Bruno. I really do. I wish he hadnt had to come back. Yeah, there are so many little nuances in this episode that I'm going to have to watch it again tonight. I really like Santos and I really like Helen. *sigh* Josh and Donna are so cute together. Silly Josh...open mouth, insert BOTH feet. Josh, a motivational speech? You've gotta be kidding me. Josh....he's so adorable...Secret Plan to Fight Inflation comes to mind. Time for Josh to lose his mind.
7:21
Lou again...Wonderful :) I love Josh. Lou to the rescue again. I love Josh like this...it's so interesting. CHARLIE! I love Charlie too. An empty oval occie...CJ doesnt know what do with herself. A wound up Josh is so funny. Santos looks a little wound up too :-P Not that I blame him. Wonderful :) I like Lou :-P OOOO Josh and Donna. LOL. These two crack me up. The looks on Josh's face are so funny.
7:34
Back in bed together I see. They found something to do. Silly man. Utterly adorable. Donna is funny :) So is Josh for that matter. ROTFL. "Do you have Donna?" LOL this is too funny. this is too funny. Silly Bruno. I wanna see Josh unwind. It seems Helen doesnt know what to think about all of this yet. I love Donna. lol, nuclear accident came in handy...interesting. LOL. Kate and Will again. Come on guys :) Josh is so completely wound up. What is Donna talking about, or to? He's completely unspooling. PTSD? *shrugs* I bed Donna comes out. There we go :) Donna's a funny girl :) I love the two of them together...they balance each other out.
7:48
LOL, too many speeches. Here we go again, Kate and Will. They're an interesting match. Not one I really like, but they're okay. OOOO She voted for Vinnick. Vinnick's campaign headquarters....hmm. Here we go :) OOO....she's gonna go get Leo. WV to Vinnick...wonder what that'll mean for Josh and unspooling. Helen is cute :). Charlie and job offers again. I love Charlie. I want Leo found already...I want the wait to be over. Stop with the glares, Josh. Unspooling again. He's freaking out again. Make the damn discovery already. Oh my. Here we go. *sigh* Next week's gonna be a depressing episode. However, Im not watching it live. I'll be watching it on tivo later, as my cub game starts at 7
